We are currently hiring a Proposal Writer (Temporary/Mat Leave Position) to join our team.

Proscenium Architecture + Interiors (PAI) is an award-winning, mid-sized Architecture and Interior Design firm working in an integrated studio environment. We started in 1996 as a firm specializing in arts & cultural design and expanded our scope over time to include residential, commercial, institutional and public projects of various scales. In all our projects, we value Process-driven design, Sustainability and Community.

PAI is proud to have our offices located on the bright, spacious third-floor of the high-performance, mass timber MEC Vancouver building (which has many sustainable features including rainwater harvesting and re-use). The Job:

We are currently looking for a Proposal Writer who is able to work independently yet collaboratively to join our architecture and interior design firm. This person will be a resourceful self-starter who has an eye for design aesthetics, is detail-oriented and is effective at balancing multiple priorities and deadlines. The salary range for this role is CA $65,000.00 – CA $70,000 per year.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Directly contribute and assist with preparation, coordination and development of architectural proposals under the direction of the senior architectural team
  • Organizing, updating and archiving proposal resource libraries and documentation
  • Creation and sourcing of images, charts, and other graphics for proposal use
  • Accurate tracking of completed proposals for conversion analytics and follow-up
  • Updating of brochures, PowerPoint presentations and other marketing collateral
  • Contribution to technical content for digital marketing platforms
  • Assist with yearly award submissions
  • Website management
  • Special projects as assigned by the Principals

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrated written and verbal English communication skills with an aptitude for understanding technical terminology
  • Exceptional organizational and self-directed time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects under tight deadlines
  • A meticulous eye for detail and design aesthetics
  • Resourceful and proactive in taking on assignments and responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a team environment, working towards common goals and objectives
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiar with using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat) or similar design programs
  • Graphic design capabilities are considered an asset

 

Required Training and Experience:

Post-secondary education in English, marketing, communication, journalism or another related field.

Job Type:

This position has the possibility/flexibility to be either a full-time or part-time position, with the possibility of extension. We offer a hybrid work model after the probationary period. Intended start date is mid-May.
