Juan Castañeda joined Proscenium in 2023 with over 9 years’ experience in architecture across North and South America. He holds a B.Arch and B.A. from Universidad de Los Andes, Colombia and is a SCA Registered Architect. Juan started his professional career in Colombia where he spent five years working for notable architectural firms. After emigrating to the US, he was first based in Atlanta then Denver, gaining experience with large development companies. Since 2023, Juan has made himself indispensable at Proscenium, becoming involved in an array of projects including theatre, mixed-use, and residential typologies.
Juan particularly enjoys the visualization of projects—bringing ideas to life—and detailing during schematic design, where creatively working within constraints to see a project come together can be very rewarding. Outside of work, he is an avid swimmer and illustrator.
