Benjamin Leif Nielsen

Where were you born?

Brockville, Ontario

Where did you go to school? Why?

University of Waterloo. Proximity, but in retrospect it suited me, lots of ‘why’ along with the ‘how’.

What class in school has proven to be the least useful?

Dedicated class on using Form-Z.

What’s your most prized article of black clothing?

What is the best building of all time?

Zumthor’s Vals Thermae.

What are some of your favorite micro-breweries/food-trucks in Vancouver?

Local Omnivore.

What do you never leave home without?

Your Great Escape would be to?

Cayoosh Creek.

If you could only play three albums in the studio, what would they be?

They would be podcasts, not music.

What single piece of technology makes your life easier?

The wheel.

What magazine do you look for when you are stuck in a waiting room?

Highlights. But I try not to touch things in waiting rooms.

What word do you have trouble saying?

None, my prodigious vocabulary is matched only by my otherwise peerless elocution.

What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?

Sleeping in, reading, video games and overly elaborate meals.
