Langara Nursing Expansion

After two decades of successful projects at Langara, PAI was engaged to carry out a major expansion of the Faculty of Nursing spaces. The project area is comprised of 8,793 ft² in the Science & Technology Building, an award-winning PAI/Teeple-designed project that received the SABMag Green Building Award in 2017.

The scope includes converting three former classrooms and offices into nursing simulation labs, faculty offices, practice labs, and a storage/workroom. Six high-fidelity simulation labs and observation rooms include high-definition video monitoring and scalable AV/IT infrastructure to allow for technological agility. The project accommodates Langara’s goal of a 50% increase in program output for its Nursing programs. Designed to LEED Gold standards, it connects to Langara’s central heating plant (which targets Net Zero by 2030).
